A high-level forum addressing the role of European Social dialogue and Industrial relations in charting a path towards economic recovery and renewal in Europe face to the impact of today’s financial and economic crisis.

To stress the relevance of Social dialogue and Industrial relations in stimulating the right changes for increasing potential economic growth,  the event will bring together leading academics, decision makers and IR practitioners from European governments and workers’ and employers’ organizations.
The inclusion of a number of tripartite delegations from selected non-European countries will enrich the insights into the European predicament from countries that have experience with social dialogue approaches during previous financial and economic shocks.

Two and a half day of reflection, debate, interactive learning and experience sharing in a collegial setting, hosted by the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO) which has developed strong expertise in participatory methods, are preceded by a pre-learning phase and a follow-up phase.

The event, sponsored by the EU, is developed in partnership with the ILO Industrial and Employment Relations Departments (DIALOGUE).
